Based around a central timeline, pupils can explore the lives and times of the Tudor Monarchs and the period. Produced to help meet the needs of the National Curriculum and the QCA Scheme of Work, this interesting program presents important topics, including all the Tudor Monarchs, the wives of Henry VIII and why he married six times, Tudor clothing, music, food, houses and the Spanish Armada.
The timeline on the main screen describes all the major events in Tudor history and places particular emphasis on Henry VIII and his six wives, Elizabeth I and the Spanish Armada, and the lives of the rich and poor in Tudor times. Meanwhile the Tudor Life section covers topics, including food, clothing, houses, school, royal palaces and buildings, law and order, historic events, music and pastimes.
The Tudor Trail also includes lots of activities based on the topics learnt within the program to reinforce the learning of Tudor history. These activities include the Tudor family tree, quizzes, Tudor costume, the Babington cipher, Tudor monarchs, a maze and a popular board game of the period.
